I would love to introduce my family…
My amazing husband ~~ Rev. Will
My amazing husband, best friend and hero went home to heaven on July 15, 2012 when our family was in a tragic car accident. I miss him so much every day but am so blessed to know that he is home in a new body with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Here is a little glimpse into who he was…
Will and I were married in April 2010. Every day he taught me more about unconditional love through the way he loved us in the midst of the messiness of our lives. He loved the boys (from my previous marriage– a domestic violence marriage) and considered them his sons from the time he was courting me. Even while managing his physical and bipolar challenges…he was very active in homeschooling our boys, encouraging his daughter, and romancing me and always knew just how to make me smile or laugh when I needed it.
He considered himself to be a missionary minister and musician who blogged at willpershing.net. He ran a small music studio out of our home and also enjoyed freelance writing. But most of all, he was passionate about reaching out to those who are often overlooked in the community with the Gospel of God’s Grace. He was ordained with Christian Discipleship Ministries on June 29, 2012. We were blessed to be married and a family for almost 2 1/2 years, before he went home to be with our Savior.
He was just 45 years old when he went home to heaven.
Meet my favorite blessings, my children:
My beautiful daughter of my heart~~ Annie
Annie is seventeen and just graduated as salutatorian of her class (May 11, 2013) from high school in her home town where she lives with her mother. She is passionate about her Savior and is very involved in her home church. She is also a member of her High School Science Club, Math Club and hanging out with her friends when she isn’t working as a home care assistant. She is preparing to head off to college in the Fall. She is passionate about missions and sharing the Gospel in her everyday life and coordinated and led a youth mission event at her church recently. I love sitting and talking with Annie and chatting with her on Facebook in between visits as we continue to grow in our relationship. We continue to be blessed to have her with us about one weekend a month as often as her busy schedule allows.
My awesome son~~Josh
Josh is ten and is our very bright and enthusiastic home educated fourth grader. He loves asking questions, working on learning projects, reading and going on field trips with his family. I am blessed to have the privilege of learning more about his special needs and gifts and helping him deal with the challenges and adventures these bring. In his free time he enjoys playing Lego’s with his brother; playing board games; singing with his family; going on adventures; reading “chapter books”; playing outside and earning time to play games on the family computer.
My super energetic son~~Michael
Michael is five and is our home educated Pre-Schooler. Michael is always on the move! He is very excited about getting to start “school” with his big brother this year. Michael’s excitement over everything he sees and hears reminds me of the significance of the smallest things in life. He loves learning and asking lots of questions; pretending to be a train conductor; dancing to his favorite music; playing Lego’s with his big brother; play with cars and trucks; coloring; playing outside; and snuggling up with Mommy to read stories;singing and spending time with his family.
