YOU are all I Need!!!

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2: 8-10 NLT

On this Sunday night, as we enjoy the final hours of our day of rest and look to the activity of the week ahead…let’s pause and remember that no matter what we face.  No matter how challenging our week may be. No matter how much heart ache we are experiencing. No matter what achievement or success we may experience this week.  OUR GOD IS ALL WE NEED!

Lord we thank you for WHO you are and all of the amazing love and grace you give us each and every day.  No matter how amazing or difficult our lives are right now, God, help us to remember that YOU are all we need.  Thank you for loving us so much to leave your perfect, heavenly home to come to this earth and experience the pain and challenges of human life so that you could connect with us with skin on so you could teach us. Love us, like no one has ever loved us or ever will again.  Suffer and take OUR punishment…so that we might have eternal life through your life giving sacrifice!  Wow!  God help us to focus on and be filled with gratitude for the incredible grace you offer us.  Our lives would never, ever be the same without you leading, guiding, comforting, loving, providing, carrying us and so much more!

As we pursue our goals help us to do it with the mindset of furthering Your Kingdom and not focus on how it may benefit us.  Help us to remember YOU are all we need.

As we face challenges that may seem impossible to us.  Help us to remember that NOTHING we face is impossible for YOU and help us to bring it to your feet at your cross and leave it there.  And help us to remember in these stressful times…YOU are all we need!

As we make our plans for this week, help us to stop and ask YOU about YOUR plans for us for this week.  And help us to put those plans above anything we might feel we need to do…because in the end…YOU are all we need!

Lord, thank you so much for your amazing Grace.  I know that no matter what I face today or in the days ahead, your grace is sufficient for me.  You are here with me.  You know the way when I feel lost.  In your arms I am always home.  Lord, please help me to have a heavenly perspective in my days, my relationships, my decisions and my words and actions…as I remember…

YOU are all I need!  In Jesus most Precious Name I pray…AMEN!!!

If you have burdens that we could have the honor of lifting up to the Lord with you this week, please take a moment to share them in the comments below.  One of the amazing blessings of being sisters in Christ is that we can pray for one another.  I treasure that gift and hope you will allow us to pray for you.  I will personally respond to each prayer request comment and pray with you here in your time of need.

It is God’s Grace bubbling up and flowing out of our lives, hearts, mouths, actions that allows us to bless others!  The blessings we see in our lives all come from His Grace.  That is why, after much prayer, Week Two of the Blessing Journal Fridays Challenge focuses on His Grace this week.  I hope you will take some time to join us.

Dancing at the foot of the Cross,

About the author

Mary Joy

I am a broken daughter of God and a work in progress. I am passionate about encouraging women to embrace God's grace and faithfulness as I discover and share His faithfulness, grace and even joy in the messiness of my journey as a widowed (less than 2 yrs), homeschooling mom with a missionary's heart. I am in awe of how God fills me up and carries me through each day. My Heavenly Father leads me as I continue to parent and home school my two recovering and very active boys and encourage my beautiful teenage step-daughter (long distance) during her first year in of college. In every moment I see incredible evidence of God's healing love, grace and faithfulness. I am so blessed to be the creator, manager, and an author of Unwrapping His Grace as I lean on my Savior to lead us in this special web-ministry.
