Introducing my December Sponsor…Ordinary Inspirations!

(From the Learning to Live a Surrendered Life archives before it became Unwrapping His Grace.)
Today I would like to introduce to you a very special lady and our special December sponsor here at Learning to Live a Surrendered Life!
Traci Little is the author and creator of wonderful blog “Ordinary Inspirations”.  I “met” Traci on her blog over two years ago.  I enjoyed it so much that I have been following her ever since!  Her writing, and incredible photography, inspires me to look at life a little differently…and I am so much better for it!

Ordinary Inspirations

When asked to describer herself and her vision for her on-line home at “Ordinary Inspirations” here is what she had to say…
I’m a curly-headed dreamer who loves my Savior, adores my best friend called Hubby, and my three children!  I never knew how much I would love being at home full-time with my kids, but I do!  What a privilege and high calling.  I love to blog, take pictures, cook, decorate cakes, and make my home cozy and inviting!
It is my desire to glorify God through encouraging and edifying other women. It is my heart’s cry to motivate you to be a lover of God, respect your spouse, and raise your little ones to love and know the love of Christ.
God’s grace captivates me in such a way that I want my life to make a difference for His glory.
In every post…every photograph…every quote…every thought…she challenges us, encourages us and motivates women through posts about…
Marriage and Family  I especially love her many posts about loving our husbands and how she shares the importance of how we do this through sharing her own real life challenges and blessings as a wife and mother!
Raising Children  I have to mention one of my all time favorites…“Parenting refines the parent!”
“Parenting refines me like no other thing thus far.  As I help little babes grow physically, mentally and spiritually, God is working on this Mama’s heart.
It is full of stretch marks of my broken will, surrendered to His.  Sometimes painful, turn-my-head away ugly, at my own failures and inadequacies.  But HIS GRACE shines the brightest in my weakness.  I surrender all to you, my Lord.” Traci Little
Living For Him  One of my favorites is from this week…“What are You Holding Onto?”  I love this quote…
“What are you holding onto so tight?  Release those knuckles white… you are missing so many more blessings.  Release that grip and receive what God really has for you.”  Traci Little

Yummy Recipes  And they are so, so good!
Beauty and Fitness   One of my favorite articles is called “On Beauty and Why the Scale Lies to You”, here is a quote from this inspiring post…
“Christ continues to free me in this area.  He has redeemed me and He calls me beautiful… big-boned and all.  He crafted me, the painter-of-the-universe, and He calls me perfect.  He held that brush, that made each curve that I call an imperfection, and He calls it beautiful.”  Traci Little
Decorating and Crafts  She is clear that she is not a Better Homes and Garden decorator in her home but share some of the cutest and easiest to make crafts that just make me want to get my craft on right along with her!!!
And so much more!!!
Traci shares what she calls, some random things about herself…

About the author

Mary Joy

I am a broken daughter of God and a work in progress. I am passionate about encouraging women to embrace God's grace and faithfulness as I discover and share His faithfulness, grace and even joy in the messiness of my journey as a widowed (less than 2 yrs), homeschooling mom with a missionary's heart. I am in awe of how God fills me up and carries me through each day. My Heavenly Father leads me as I continue to parent and home school my two recovering and very active boys and encourage my beautiful teenage step-daughter (long distance) during her first year in of college. In every moment I see incredible evidence of God's healing love, grace and faithfulness. I am so blessed to be the creator, manager, and an author of Unwrapping His Grace as I lean on my Savior to lead us in this special web-ministry.
